Sharing your memories of Falkland Estate, Friday 19th February 10am-4pm, The Stables Workshop, Falkland Estate

As you might be aware, we are creating a new Information Room for visitors to Falkland Estate at the Stables (at the front, to the left of the Arch). We want to provide visitors with a range of information about the Estate, its history, the wildlife and its people. Do you have any stories or memories of the Estate that you would like to share, or possibly some photographs or other artefacts?

On Friday 19th February, local archivist Marietta Crichton Stuart, who was brought up in Falkland, will be at the Stables to gather up or record any stories or memories that you may have. Jan Hendry, ‘author’ of the Big Book of Falkland will also be at the Stables so if you are feeling creative, there will be a chance to add more pages to the Big Book.

This will be an informal drop in session, so please feel free to come to the Workshop (round the back of the Stables), at any time between 10am and 4pm for a chat, a cake and a coffee. If you have a long story that you want to share though it might be best to give us a call in advance so we can make sure Marietta is ready for you!

Photographs will be scanned and returned to you that day. Artefacts can either be left or photographed.

Your contribution will enrich stories of the Estate for our visitors and we really look forward to hearing from you.
