If you’ve been down to the Squirrel Trail recently, you’ll have noticed that things are moving along at the Forest of Falkland Gateway.  The site has been cleared, construction is getting underway and work is pretty much on schedule – despite the best efforts of Storms Ciara and Dennis!

In the next few days the works vehicles will have been moved on to the site which means that the farm track will re-open to farm vehicles. There is a traffic management system on the A912 with traffic lights expected to be in place from now until the end of next week. We’ll continue to keep you up to date with progress on the site but please remember you can still access the Squirrel Trail and the Pillars of Hercules is open for business as usual.

This £400,000 improvement project is possible thanks to the Fife LEADER Funding Programme which is supported by the Scottish Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, an investment from Falkland Estate Trust and a contribution from Pillar of Hercules Organic Farm Shop and Café.
